We are very pleased to announce that Alperton Community School has been shortlisted for the “Secondary School of the Year” award in the TES School Awards for 2018. It is amazing to see our continued efforts being recognised by such a prestigious organisation, particularly after winning ‘Maths Team of the Year’ in the 2017 TES Awards. This is a fantastic achievement for our school and it is a testimony to the hard work our teachers and support staff put in to the profession and of course the outstanding results that the students produce as a result of this.
Now in its tenth year, the TES Schools Awards celebrates the extraordinary commitment, quality and innovation shown by teachers and support staff across the UK. It promotes teachers, schools and departments who are raising the standards of education by making a positive impact on the personal and academic success of the students and the wider community.
The application process required a written summary of our achievements over the past 12 months as well as supporting documents which demonstrated evidence of outstanding performance, innovation, imagination and our efforts to develop all students.
The winners of the TES School Awards 2018 will be announced at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane in London on the evening of Friday, 22nd June. Congratulations to the whole school and the community for this incredible nomination and of course fingers crossed for the final.
