On Thursday 23 November we hosted our annual Sixth Form Open Evening at our Stanley Avenue school. We were delighted to welcome so many students and parents to the event and to receive such excellent feedback. On Tuesday 31st and Wednesday 1st November our KS3 and KS4 students took part in an exciting project during their Spanish lessons to celebrate The Day of the Death, a festival celebrated in Spanish-speaking countries. Students created their own festival masks, learning about the Mexican festival and their traditional food and culture. Many thanks to Ms Lopez for organising this activity for our students. They really enjoyed the experience and helped them learn about Spanish festivals as part of the GCSE scheme of learning. Below you can see some of their work. (more…)
On Wednesday 18 October, 26 of our A Level Physics and Chemistry students, accompanied by Dr Mahmoud and Ms Saini, travelled to Queen Mary University of London for a day packed with exciting workshops and activities.
The event was organised by Dr Mahmoud over the summer holiday and it included workshops by Dr Chianello (Chemistry and Physics) and Dr Hunt (Physics) delivered specifically for our students. (more…)
On Tuesday 17 October LAMDA Drama School visited our school and put on a riveting performance of Romeo and Juliet for our Year 9 English students. The performance was a huge success! Students and teachers alike were spell-bound by the amazing stagecraft and acting of the cast and crew, and were grateful for this enriching experience that helped them appreciate Shakespeare’s mastery. Yesterday we hosted another successful Open day event for our prospective Year 5 and Year 6 students at our Ealing Road School.
