On Tuesday 24 January our A-Level Textile and Photography students took part in a fascinating career talk led by costume designer and milliner Tilda Lewis. The students really enjoyed the talk, learning about the different career options within the costume design industry and about the process and art of hat making which will inspire their future projects. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about a career as a freelance designer, as well as working for large film productions. (more…)
We are delighted to announce that one of our talented GCSE Drama students, Aliza Ahmed, has recently performed in a limited run in the West End. The play, entitled Double Bill: The Village/Rush took place at the Almeida Theatre on Sun 15th and Sun 22nd of January. (more…)
On Friday 13 January we were honoured by the visit of Mrs Varatha Shanmuganathan who came to our school to deliver a special assembly to our Year 13 students. She gave an inspirational talk about her academic career and her life long passion for learning. Mrs Shanmuganathan taught at Alperton High School in the 1980’s and has lived and taught in four continents before emigrating to Canada. (more…)
