Last week our Year 7 and Year 10 students enjoyed two excellent Literacy Drop Down days. The students participated in a series of workshops delivered by Values and Visions, an educational organisation working with young people to help them develop their inner strength and confidence.
The workshops were a great opportunity for our students to improve their literacy and public speaking skills. To put in practice what they have learned, the students were encouraged to deliver a speech at the end of the day in front of their fellow colleagues.
All of the speakers did incredibly well and two of our Year 10 students were selected to go forward to the regional competition of the Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge. Congratulations to all the participants and many thanks to the organisers for putting together such an amazing day.
