16Last week, Dr Andreas Andreopoulos, Reader in Orthodox Christianity at University of Winchester, delivered a lecture to our Philosophy and Ethics A-Level students.
Dr Andreopoulos spoke to the students about the Bible, its history and how it was written, and about the human understanding behind this source of wisdom. He also explained notions regarding afterlife, the sacraments of the church and miracles. Students were able to ask questions and discuss theological, ethical and philosophical concepts. During the assembly, students had the opportunity to learn about university life. This was a great event, inspiring students to progress in Philosophy and Ethics, and a great first experience with a university style lesson.
