On Friday 7 March, our History Department organised a fantastic Castle Exhibition in our Ealing Road library. For a second year running, our brilliant new Year 7 cohort were tasked with producing their own motte and bailey castles. In addition to an amazing selection of works made of tissue, card, paper and even pink glitter, some equally intricate Minecraft castles were entered into the competition.
A couple of things were different this time around. First, in line with our school’s Eco targets, students used recycled rather than newly purchased materials to make their castles.
We also had a wonderful panel of judges, featuring Ms Sabur, Ms Kabir and our headteacher Mr Dixon. The panel deliberated on matters of craft, effort and historical accuracy. Winners will be announced soon and we can’t wait for next year’s gallery!
Thanks to the History and Year 7 teams for inspiring the students and helping them display their work in the library.
