We were delighted to welcome so many prospective students and parents to our Open event last night.
The atmosphere was fantastic and the school was buzzing with excitement as our guests explored everything our school has to offer. They were invited to take tours of the school, explore our learning facilities, meet with some of our staff and faculty members, and get a feel of our vibrant and welcoming school community.
Along with the support from our PTFA, our incredible student ambassadors did an amazing job of welcoming visitors and leading them on tours around our many different departments. It was great to see the pride they take in the school as they shared their experiences and answered questions along the way.
Our packed programme of activities gave visitors the opportunity to experience first-hand our diverse and inspirational teaching and learning environment. Students and parents were able to explore their creativity through art, music and drama workshops, take part in science experiments and cooking classes, or interact with STEM robots, alongside many other hands-on experiences. Live performances also added to the energy and excitement of the evening, showcasing the incredible talent of our students.
A key highlight of the evening was the Headteacher’s speech, who spoke with enthusiasm about our school’s vision and values, our excellent achievements, and the extensive opportunities we offer to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
Equally moving was hearing directly from our current students, who shared their own personal journey at Alperton. They spoke honestly about how nervous they had felt when they first started secondary school and how the sense of community, support and encouragement they received at Alperton helped them find their feet and build confidence.
It was wonderful to see so many families engaging with our staff and students, asking questions and discovering what makes our school such a special place to learn. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive. Parents praised the warmth and enthusiasm of our staff and students, our fantastic learning facilities and how well the event was organised.
