Last week we hosted our annual Open Day event at our Ealing Road school for our prospective Year 5 and 6 students and we were delighted to see so many parents and carers attending the event. The school was buzzing with excitement. Parents were invited to take a tour of the school, explore our learning facilities, meet with some of our staff and faculty members, and get a feel of our vibrant and welcoming school community. Parents were also able to ask questions, gather information about our school and the admission process.
We had a packed program that allowed guests to explore a range of activities and hands-on experiences, from science experiments and racket launches to musical performances and creative arts workshops.
They were also invited to hear a talk from our headteacher Christopher Dixon, who provided more information about our school, our outstanding examinations results, our learning facilities and our extensive curriculum and enrichment programme.
We also wanted our guests to hear firsthand from our current students about their own experiences at Alperton.
Yusuf in year 7 spoke about the fantastic support he’s received so far at Alperton and how quickly he was able to learn the alphabet in Spanish with a little help from his teacher.
Kristi was impressed with how supportive and kind staff and students at Alperton are and said that “although it has been like a rollercoaster transferring here, Alperton made it feel like a walk in the park.”
It was a great evening and the feedback received from parents was fantastic. Below you can see some of their comments :
“Thank you, we really enjoyed the tour and the headteacher’s presentation. Overall, the evening was very informative and staff and students were very friendly.”
“I particularly liked the school’s strong sense of community and how welcoming staff and students were.”
We look forward to seeing many of these students back here as part of the Alperton community in 2025.
