On Friday 21st June, a number of ACS staff attended the TES Schools Awards ceremony 2019 to support our teacher Kobika Balasingam’s nomination for the ‘New Teacher of the Year’ award. The gala ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane and was hosted by the comedian Harry Hill.
It was a fabulous evening and all ACS staff that participated at the event really enjoyed the experience. A big thank you to everyone supporting Kobika during the ceremony and a special mention to Ms Warwick and Ms Sharma for their instrumental role in Kobika’s nomination.
The evening celebrates the commitment and innovation shown by all the teachers and support staff within the UK across 19 different categories. Ms Balasingham was honoured to be nominated for this award and to take part in the ceremony and said: “It was a privilege to share the evening with the winners and the nominees of the TES Awards. It is truly a remarkable job being a teacher and the evening was a cherishing lifetime moment.”01
