On Tuesday 14 May, five musicians from the 50+ piece orchestra of Canada’s National Arts Centre visited our school and performed for our Year 8 students. The event was organised by the Artists in Residence charity with the aim to inform students about the opportunities of being a professional musician.
They visited Alperton as part of their ongoing tour of Europe, which includes London, Paris, Stockholm and other European capitals. During their stay in London, they also played at London’s Cadogan Hall.
The students loved the performance and asked the musicians lots of questions about what it is like to have a career in music. Many thanks to Artists in Residence for organising this great event.
