Last week our school commemorated Remembrance Day. At 11 am staff and students observed a 2 minute silence. Afterwards, Ms Fretwell played the Last Post by trumpet in the canteen. Staff and students bought poppies and made donations at lunch and break time to further commemorate the day. (more…)

Thanks to the passion and commitment of our Eco committee, our Green Flag award was renewed in August 2022. The Eco representatives will be continuing their work this year, setting as their top priorities Recycling Paper and Reducing Plastic Waste. (more…)

On Thursday, 29th October, we were delighted to welcome to our school the BBC and take part in their educational project ‘BBC100 Share Your Story’. The programme is part of the BBC‘s 100th birthday celebrations and aims to inspire young people to achieve their ambitions and career goals. They are currently visiting 400 secondary schools across the UK, reaching approximately 400,000 students. (more…)
On Friday, 14 October, 60 lucky Year 7 students undertook a specially designed interactive workshop in the hall at ER, led by HS2, and comprising of a full day’s worth of activities to inspire students to become ‘Extraordinary People Initiating Change’ and showcasing the creative, technology- driven solutions used in rail and infrastructure industries. Today is Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) Awareness Day. Many thanks to Joanna Hickey from Brent Children’s Specialist Services for visiting our school to celebrate the event and help raise awareness about DLD. The theme for this year is ‘Growing with DLD’.
Yesterday evening we had a fantastic time celebrating the achievements of our talented students at our annual Sports Awards event. It was such an uplifting event and we were so proud to see so many gifted and ambitious students being rewarded for their hard work. Congratulations to everyone who won an award and hope more students will feel inspired this year to join an afterschool club or other sporting activity. (more…)
Yesterday we were delighted to welcome to our school over 400 parents and students for our annual Open Day event. The guests had the opportunity to try out various lessons and workshops and to speak with our students and staff to find out more about our school, our amazing learning facilities and the application process. On Saturday, 10th September, a number of students were lucky enough to be invited to attend the BMW PGA Golf Championship which took place at Wentworth. None of us had ever been to a Golf tournament before and everyone at the venue were really friendly. (more…)
