This is the seventh year our school has participated in the Your Life You Choose program, a multi-agency presentation run by magistrates in North West London that educates young people about crime and its consequences. (more…)

Last week our school celebrated Parliament Week 2019. UK Parliament Week is an annual festival that engages people from across the UK with their Parliament, explores what it means to them and encourages them to get involved. On Wednesday 30 October our A level Spanish students travelled to Central London to see a fascinating and intriguing Spanish play at Cervantes Theatre. The play, called La casa de los espíritus, is an adaptation of the best seller novel with the same name written by Isabel Allende. (more…)
On Friday 11 October, our Year 10 Textiles students attended the biggest textile event in the UK, The Knitting & Stitching Show 2019. The exhibition took place at Alexandra Palace and consisted of hundreds of workshops, demonstrations, interactive features and professionally curated galleries, as well as 300 exhibitors selling specialist craft supplies. On Tuesday 15 October, a selection of our Year 7 students participated in the Computing Challenge Day 2019. The event was organised by Rutherford Appleton Laboratory to celebrate the EU Code Week and took place at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
The students took part in a carousel of exciting hands-on computing activities and had the unique opportunity to meet scientists and engineers who use computing to explore the world around us every day. The workshops were a great experience for our students, helping them to expand their understanding of how technology works and further develop their skills.
On Saturday, 12 October, Alperton students took part in a community clean-up organised by Wembley Central & Alperton Residents’ Association (WCARA) and Brent Council. (more…)
On 2 October we were delighted to host our annual EAL Induction Celebration evening at our Ealing Road school. A high number of parents turned up for the event to celebrate with their children the completion of a two-week induction programme that took place in September. (more…)
