We are excited to announce that our A Level Textiles students have made it to the London Finals of the Junk Kouture Global Competition. This is a tremendous success, especially that we were the only school in the country who had two groups selected for the competition. On Tuesday, 26 March 2024, ACS took part in the final of the āArtemis Profit Huntā challenge which is a fantastic programme run by the Artemis Investment Management bank in Green Park, Central London.
This year Alperton Community School was represented by three teams of students who have been working on this programme since October. The programme provides a unique a opportunity for students to work with professionals on a real-world business challenge, investing in the stock market by selecting and then managing a portfolio of 5 stocks. On Friday 22nd March, the History team ran a fantastic Castle Exhibition in the ER Library!
The gallery included the works of our talented Year 7 students, who have built some impressive motte and bailey castles. These were displayed alongside a selection of the library’s best castle-related books to promote extra reading. (more…)

Between 29th Jan and 2nd February our science teacher Dr Mahmoud organised and run the Intermediate Physics challenge with over 91 of our pupils from Yr8 to Yr11. On Tuesday 30th January 2024, three teams of our Year 12 students took part in the Artemis Profit Hunt Challenge and delivered three very engaging presentations about their favourite stock. The students have been preparing for this since October and they had to present to a panel of three judges from the Investment Bank. The students competed against eleven other schools from across London.
