On Tuesday, 26 March 2024, ACS took part in the final of the ‘Artemis Profit Hunt’ challenge which is a fantastic programme run by the Artemis Investment Management bank in Green Park, Central London.
This year Alperton Community School was represented by three teams of students who have been working on this programme since October. The programme provides a unique a opportunity for students to work with professionals on a real-world business challenge, investing in the stock market by selecting and then managing a portfolio of 5 stocks.
I am absolutely delighted to announce that the team Halal Inc won the prestigious award for ‘Best Performing Portfolio’. Within five months, the team made a return of over 70% on their portfolio, which equates to £3.5 million. The team members are Safia, Hafsah, Maleehah, Anisa and Faoziya. They were awarded a golden trophy, a certificate, a book, Amazon vouchers, and most importantly, they will now have one week of invaluable work experience during the summer with the Artemis Investment Management company.
We are also very proud of our team Faith in Finance, who won the award for ‘Best Team Spirit’. The talented team members are Yusuf , Ahmed, Reza, Methmini and Aryan. They were also awarded certificates, a book and Amazon vouchers.
