The EAL Induction Celebration Evening took place on the 4th of October to celebrate the completion of the EAL induction programme. This intervention was for Year 7 students new to English and new to the country. They were with the EAL team for two weeks at the start of term and were taught survival skills in English and participated in a range of reading, writing, speaking and listening activities.
A big thank you to Mrs Panchal, Mrs Modha and the EAL team for making the evening so special for our students and parents. We had 100% attendance and a lot of positive engagement from our Hard to Reach parents. A special thank you to Mrs Manderson and our Governor Ms Griffiths for supporting the event.
