It was a fabulous evening on Tuesday 25th April when five of our Alperton girls got to meet Joe Root – the current captain of England. He is only 26 years old, but close to 55 in tests and 42 in One Day International’s (ODI’s). He already has 8 tests and 6 ODI linked to his name. He is ranked amongst the best batsmen in the world in almost all the rankings. He is the brightest star for England at the moment.
During the day we had lots of fun and took many photos and autographs. Everybody had a wonderful time with the great cricketer. We also got our new cricket kit and are looking forward to our upcoming matches!
