At the beginning of April, five students from Exeter University visited our school. They attended a number of classes – maths, science, RS, physics, MFL and English – and shadowed different teachers from various departments to gain secondary school experience. They had a very positive experience with our staff and students for the 3 days they were with us and said they were inspired by our classroom pedagogy and the behaviour ethos of our school. At the end of their visit the students left a thank you card for us with the most wonderful comments about our school:
“Thank you so much for being so kind and welcoming during my time at your school. I had a really positive and valuable experience observing and participating in lessons over the three days. Alperton felt like a really special place and I feel lucky to have spent my time with you” (Claudia Kelly, University of Exeter)
“Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to be part of your school for 3 days! I personally learned a lor and have been inspired by teachers and children! All the best for the future and my very best wishes” (Maddy Farley, University of Exeter)
