Five of our year 12 girls participated in the International Women in Engineering Challenge Day. Overall 100 students from schools in London participated on the Day.
The students were involved in various activities including designing model turbo engine, problem solving activities and designing a project on sustainable energy using design brief used by engineers.
The final part of the programme involved presenting their design to the client. The facilitators were observing throughout and Priyal SF10 was awarded the first prize for leadership skills, communication, negotiation and group discussion skills.
Krinali, Kugapiriya, Queency and Diya enthusiastically participated in the event and contributed successfully in a variety of activities undertaken throughout the day.
As always our students were exceptional ambassadors of Alperton Community School.
