On Tuesday 16th January, Alperton took part in the prestigiousĀ Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge competition. Our participant students, Shanti Smith, Zadeia Matthews and Alisha Boadi made us all proud when they delivered their powerful speeches to a large audience including staff, students and their families, the Mayor of Brent and eight eminent judges.
The competition was fierce and the judges took an unprecedented amount of time to announce the winner. Although we were worthy runners up, the judges came over and spoke to our students in person, praising them for their speeches. The judges said that they were inspired and very moved by the speeches and that their presentations were outstanding.
Congratulations to all participant students and many thanks to the organisers for putting together such a fantastic evening.
