Pi Day was a great success this year – it was an amazing team effort with all the staff and students really enjoying themselves. We’ve had some amazing recites of the Pi digits. The following students came out on top:
Stanley Avenue:
- Meenuya Rabendran G1 – 279 digits
- Saad Askandar 10T – 110 digits
- Nagad Ahmed K3 – 82 digits
Ealing Road:
- Najma Ali 7X – 51 digits
- Ilayda Toyam 7S – 41 digits
- Jiya Ashar 7S – 31 digits
The students gained a better understanding of Pi and its history by taking part in a number of engaging activities at both sites. In addition, the students were able to build a pie chain of 200 numbers that went all the way down the Stanley Avenue Maths Corridor.
Congratulation to all of the participants and a big thank you to the teachers and staff supporting the event.
