How to apply
To receive priority for 2027 entry to our Sixth Form at Alperton Community School, all students must apply by 30 November 2026.
Applications received after this date will be treated as late applications. Late applications will be automatically placed on the waiting list and reviewed only if places become available.
Please note
- Applicants will normally be aged 16 and eligible to enter Year 12 in September of the relevant admissions year.
- Alperton Community School Sixth Form does not normally admit students for the purpose of repeating Year 12 or Year 13.
- Applicants must meet the Sixth Form’s published academic entry requirements, including the general entry requirements and any subject-specific requirements for their chosen programme of study.
- Predicted grades will be used to identify whether an applicant is currently on track to meet the published academic entry requirements and may be used to make a conditional offer. Final admission will be determined in accordance with the school’s published Sixth Form Admissions Policy and the applicant’s achieved qualifications.
- Applicants with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) should liaise with their current SENCO and Local Authority regarding their proposed post-16 placement and are encouraged to submit their Sixth Form application by the published application deadline. Their admission will be dealt with in accordance with the statutory EHCP process.
- Applicants may be asked to provide information or a reference from their current school to support transition and appropriate educational provision.
- Any offer may be withdrawn where it is established that the offer was obtained through a fraudulent or intentionally misleading application, in accordance with the School Admissions Code.
- All courses and subjects are subject to sufficient student numbers, staffing and resource availability. The availability of a subject at the point of application does not guarantee that the course will run.
- The Sixth Form curriculum and course offer may be amended where necessary, including where a course cannot reasonably be provided because of staffing, student numbers or other operational circumstances.
- Subject choices are subject to the Sixth Form timetable. Not all combinations of subjects can be guaranteed, and applicants may be required to select an alternative subject where their chosen combination cannot be accommodated.
- Meeting the academic entry requirements does not guarantee a place where the Sixth Form or a particular course is oversubscribed. Where there are more eligible applicants than places available, places will be allocated in accordance with the school’s published Sixth Form oversubscription criteria.
- Applications received after the published application deadline will be treated in accordance with the school’s published Sixth Form Admissions Policy.
- Applicants are responsible for ensuring that the information provided in their application is complete and accurate and for notifying the Sixth Form of any material changes to the information provided.
