On 14 th of July, Alperton Community School took part in the Love to Learn charity event organised by WildHearts.
During the day our students from Year 7 and Sixth Form and the Year 5 students from Barham packed 4000 school starter packs full with educational resources to be shipped to Malawi. The educational resources will be used to help children in Malawi get off to the best possible start in their education.
As part of a programme designed to facilitate access to education for girls in Sub-Saharan Africa, WildHearts will provide a total of 20,000 school starter packs to Malawi.
Wildhearts also plans to involve corporate supporters to promote the programme and launch a primary school project to encourage students to donate a book to pupils from African primary schools.
