The Gardening Enrichment groups have enthusiastically kicked off the planting season by creating propagators from recycled plastic bottles and sowing a variety of crops, including tomatoes, sweet corn, chilies, onions, and garlic bulbs. Students have been hard at work constructing a new grapevine trellis frame and a cucumber trellis, using as many recycled materials as possible. They have also designed vibrant signs for the garden beds and planted potatoes, all while learning about the importance of sustainability and healthy eating.
By growing their own food, students gain a deeper appreciation for fresh, nutritious produce and develop eco-friendly gardening habits that benefit both their health and the environment. Stay tuned for updates as they watch their garden flourish throughout the year!
