On Friday 18th October we are holding a ‘non-uniform’ day for all year groups in order to raise funds for Wear Red Day to support anti-racism. As such, students are invited to come to school in a number of non-uniform red items in return for a £1 donation that we will collect from students on the day. The more red items you wear, the more rewards you will receive.
It is the 10th Anniversary of Wear Red Day this year and it is a fantastic opportunity for us as a school to participate in it. Together, we can change hearts, minds and lives on Friday the 18th. As a multicultural school it is important that we continue to support such great causes.
It is important to iterate that students must still wear appropriate clothing for a school day.
Appropriate items for the day include:
- Red accessories like bracelets, earrings, socks, hair accessories or scarves.
- Red clothes: t-shirt/shirt/trousers or jumpers.
- No red hats or caps are allowed.
If you don’t wish to participate, you must wear your school uniform. You can still contribute to this excellent cause by donating. The expectations for behaviour remain the same.
