On Saturday 4 May 2019, nine Year 9 Alperton students, accompanied by Miss Kerai and Mrs Sehdev, attended the Pangea Maths UK competition finals held at Middlesex University. Pangea is a reputed competition organised in 21 European countries, and is a fun and challenging competition for the primary and secondary students.
Our students made it into the top 20 Year 9 students to qualify for the finals, following a highly challenging round 1 of the competition. A really big achievement! Shortly after the final round of testing at the university, all participants, teachers and parents attended the awards ceremony.
As the ceremony unfolded and the awards were handed out – bronze, silver and gold – one of our students, Dev Shah, was awarded a silver award in his year group! Congratulations to Dev and all other participants that qualified for the finals!
